Blueberry Muffin Morning Smoothie

It gives you the same great taste as that blueberry muffin in the morning to start off your day, but without all the calories and unnecessary added sugars. The typical blueberry muffin has around 33 grams of sugar and a whopping 377 calories per muffin, so it’s obviously not the smartest way to go. With this smoothie, you get all the flavour you want, but with actual nutritional value, so you’re doing your body good by drinking it.

Blueberry Muffin Morning Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 cup almond milk
1 frozen banana
2/3 cup blueberries
1/4 cup oats
2 ice cubes
1 teaspoon ground flaxseed
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

1. Combine all ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth. I like to sprinkle a bit of extra oats on top

This yummy smoothie is low in sugar, high in fiber and potassium, and is definitely a treat for the taste buds.
