I’m not a huge fan of the term “dessert”, because quite frankly, I think if you’re making satisfying, healthy meals, you don’t need anything afterward. I’ve never had that much of a sweet tooth, but it is nice to treat yourself. For those times when you want something sweet after your dinner, here’s a great idea.
Kale and Pear Smoothie
1/2 avocado, peeled and sliced
1 banana, sliced
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1. Plate your peeled, sliced avocado.
2. Add the sliced banana around the avocado.
3. Drizzle the honey over the avocado and banana slices.
4. Sprinkle the cinnamon over top.
This sweet treat is so easy to prepare, it’s almost ridiculous writing out a recipe for it. It doesn’t take more than a couple minutes to whip up, and it’s sooooo delicious. Not to mention it’s way healthier for you than pigging back on a pile of cookies or chocolate.
