Kale and Pear Smoothie

This is my smoothie for breakfast this morning. Dairy-free, gluten-free, vegetarian, low cholesterol, low sodium; this smoothie really packs a punch in terms of nutrition. It’s also full of fibre so it’s great for treating and preventing constipation, and it’s a great green smoothie to start off any morning.

Kale and Pear Smoothie

1/2 cup water
1 cup green grapes
1 orange, peeled and halved
1/2 Bartlett pear, seeded and halved
1 banana, peeled
1 cup kale
2 cups ice cubes


1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

I like to enjoy this smoothie with the leftover half of the pear on the side. Delish!
