Last week we talked about Joe Rogan’s infamous (and super tasty) kale shake, and today I’ve got another nutritious, delicious green shake recipe for you to try.
This is one of my favourite shakes ever, and that says a lot, being a smoothie/shake-aholic and all. It’s got a few foods that I absolutely adore, including spinach and avocado, and I love it after my morning workout. It’s smooth and savory without any dairy, and sometimes I like to add some kale in too, for an extra bit of protein and fibre.
Spinach, Avocado and Apple Shake
1 1/2 cups apple juice
2 cups spinach
1 apple, cored and sliced
1/2 avocado, peeled and pitted
1. Combine the apple juice, spinach, apple and avocado together in your blender and blend until smooth. If the shake is a bit thick for your liking, you can add a bit more apple juice, or some water, until it reaches the desired consistency.
